Ingredients

Golden Base:

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh turmeric root - Grated or finely sliced
  • 1 cup Full-fat coconut milk - Canned or carton
  • 1 cup Whole milk or plant milk - Your choice
  • 1–2 teaspoon Raw honey or maple syrup - To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut oil - Helps with absorption

Spice Mix:

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger root - Grated or thin-sliced
  • 1 Cinnamon stick - Whole
  • 3–5 Black peppercorns - Crushed
  • 2–3 Cardamom pods - Slightly crushed
  • 1 Star anise - Optional but aromatic
  • 2 Whole cloves

Emma’s Extras (Optional:)

  • 1 pinch Salt - Balances flavor
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla extract - Adds warmth
  • teaspoon Nutmeg - For depth and sleep aid

Instructions

  • Gently crush and toast whole spices in coconut oil until they release aroma.

  • Add fresh turmeric and ginger and cook briefly to release their natural oils.

  • Slowly pour in both coconut milk and regular or plant milk, stirring gently.
