A close-up of a homemade frozen strawberry margarita in a stemmed coupé glass, rimmed generously with salt. The vivid red slushy swirls form a small peak at the top. A thin lime wheel and a half-stuck strawberry garnish the rim. The glass sits on a light wooden board over a gray linen napkin, with two strawberries blurred softly in the background.

Ingredients

  • 6 large Fresh strawberries - hulled & sliced
  • 2 fl oz Fresh lime juice - about 1 lime
  • 2 fl oz Tequila - good-quality silver/blanco
  • 1 fl oz Orange liqueur - Triple Sec / Cointreau

Instructions

  • Let strawberries sit with sugar until they release juices
A top-down view of a clear blender jar half-filled with bright red strawberry pieces and chunky ice cubes, with a spoonful of simple syrup on top; beside it on the marble counter sit two stainless steel jiggers and bottles of tequila and orange liqueur.
  • Moisten glass rim and coat it with salt or sugar mixture
An overhead shot of a blender pitcher now filled with a smooth, bright-red strawberry slush, its surface swirled into a gentle spiral, all sitting on a white marble countertop with soft shadows.
  • Combine strawberries, lime juice, tequila, liqueur, syrup
A bird’s-eye view of a clean white marble countertop displaying cocktail prep: a small white bowl of pale-green fresh lime juice, a shallow dish ringed with coarse sea salt, three halved and juiced limes, and the black base of a Vitamix blender, laid out neatly under soft daylight.
  • Pour over ice, add fruit slices and mint for a finishing touch
A close-up of a homemade frozen strawberry margarita in a short, thick-walled glass on a dark slate board. The red slushy fills the glass to the brim; the rim is generously coated with coarse salt. A halved strawberry (cut at the stem) and a thin lime wedge perch on the edge. Two ripe strawberries lie softly blurred behind on the slate under natural light from the left.
