Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fresh strawberries - Hulled and washed
  • 1 cup Sugar - Adjust to taste
  • 4–6 Lemons - Juiced about 1 cup juice
  • 4 cups Cold water - Add more if needed
  • 1 cup Ice cubes - Or enough to fill pitcher
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar - Optional for flavor boost
  • 1 pinch Salt - Optional enhances flavor

Instructions

  • Wash strawberries and remove green tops. Cut lemons in half.
    Bright red halved strawberries in a blender before blending, with water droplets on the sides.
  • Place strawberries and sugar in a large pitcher. Use a potato masher or fork to mash them. Leave small chunks don't puree.

  • Squeeze lemons into the pitcher. Pick out visible seeds.
  • Add cold water. Stir well. Taste and adjust sugar or lemon juice.
