Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef for flavor and texture
  • 1 lb. ground pork adds juiciness, or use all beef if preferred
  • 1 white onion diced small (adds moisture and flavor, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon burger seasoning for a flavorful patty, or use your own seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt for seasoning
  • 6 slices American cheese or cheese of choice, for melting
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls or any preferred slider buns
  • 4 tablespoon butter melted (for brushing on the rolls)
  • 2 teaspoon Everything Bagel Seasoning for added flavor, or substitute with sesame or poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and position the oven rack in the center. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Add the diced onion, salt, and burger seasoning. Mix lightly to incorporate.
The meat mixture with ground beef, chopped onions, and seasonings, ready to be cooked.
  • Lay a sheet of parchment paper on your work surface. Place the meat mixture on it and shape it into an 8x12-inch rectangle. Place the parchment with the shaped meat onto the prepared sheet pan.
  • Cover the meat with another sheet of parchment paper, then place a second sheet pan on top. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 150°F.
  • While the meat is baking, slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Brush the inside of the rolls with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
The slider buns are buttered, preparing them for baking or grilling to get a crispy finish.
  • Once the meat is done, carefully remove the top sheet pan and parchment paper. Use two large spatulas to lift the cooked meat and place it onto the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Place a slice of cheese on each portion of meat. Top with the other half of the rolls. Brush the top of the rolls with the remaining butter and sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning.
A layer of cheese slices is placed over the cooked meat, which will melt into a gooey topping.
  • Bake the assembled sliders for 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the bread is toasted.
Sliders The completed sliders, served with melted cheese and flavorful fillings, are ready to be enjoyed.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes. Slice them into individual sliders and serve.

Notes

These sliders are perfect for feeding a crowd. The combination of ground beef and pork gives them a juicy, flavorful bite. If you prefer, you can adjust the seasoning or swap in your favorite rolls.
