  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prep the pan
A clear glass bowl on a white countertop containing four neatly arranged piles: old-fashioned rolled oats, all-purpose flour, a mound of grated carrot, and a cluster of fresh blueberries. Soft natural light from the side highlights each ingredient’s texture
  • Stir together oats, flour, sugar, soda, salt (and cinnamon)
Overhead view of a clear glass bowl on a pale marble countertop, filled with thick, shaggy oatmeal dough flecked with bright orange carrot shreds and dark blueberries. A few stray oats lie around the bowl, shot in bright, even kitchen light.
  • Whisk butter, eggs, vanilla then add to dry mix
A square baking pan lined with crinkled brown parchment paper, filled with golden-brown oatmeal bars studded with shredded carrot, blueberries, and nuts, sitting on a marble windowsill. Slanted shafts of warm afternoon sunlight create soft shadows across the pan and countertop.
  • Fold in add-ins and press into pan
A square oatmeal-blueberry bar resting on a chrome wire cooling rack atop white marble. The bar’s golden crust is dotted with plump blueberries, and a strip of parchment peeks out. Bright daylight from a nearby window casts a grid-pattern shadow from the rack.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes until golden
