Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 pan with parchment, leaving overhang for easy removal.
    Baking ingredients on tray – A parchment-lined tray holding small bowls of flour, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
  • In a saucepan over medium-low, stir chocolate chips and condensed milk until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat immediately.
    Melting chocolate in saucepan – A saucepan filled with melting chocolate and chocolate chips, being stirred with a wooden spoon.
  • Quickly fold in marshmallows, vanilla, salt, and almond extract (if using). Stir just until combined – don’t let marshmallows fully melt.
    Marshmallows in powdered sugar – A metal mixing bowl with chunks of marshmallow coated in powdered sugar, with a whisk resting inside.
  • Transfer mixture to prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula.
    Baking dish with marshmallows and chocolate chips – A square pan lined with foil, filled with a baked mixture topped with toasted mini marshmallows and chocolate chips, set on a cooling rack.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Lift from pan and cut into squares.
