Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups medium pasta shells - uncooked
  • 1 small onion - diced
  • 3 cloves garlic - minced
  • 15 oz tomato sauce - 1 can
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes - with juices
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 4 oz cream cheese - cubed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper - to taste

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 cup frozen peas or corn
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms - sliced
  • 1 bell pepper - diced
  • fresh parsley - garnish

For Extra Flavor

  • Parmesan cheese - for topping
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, leaving some fat, and season with salt and pepper.

  • Cook diced onion until soft, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
    Ground beef browning in a skillet on a stovetop, seasoned and cooking until caramelized.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth; add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  • Add uncooked pasta shells and simmer until tender, stirring occasionally.
